North Iceland Whale Museum Sets New Record

A record-breaking 25,000 people have visited the Húsavík Whale Museum, located in North Iceland, so far this year. The Icelandic National Broadcasting Service RÚV reports this today.

According to the museum’s website, only once before has the number of guests exceeded 25,000. That was the year 2009.

Founded in 1997, the Húsavík Whale Museum is aims to provide detailed and interesting information about whales and their habitat.
