North Iceland Best in the World for Whale Watching

The village of Húsavík in northeast Iceland is among the world’s ten best whale watching locations, according to Victoria Harwood, a journalist at the Daily Telegraph. The newspaper published the list in its travel supplement on Monday.

Harwood reports that in the bay of Skjálfandaflói various whale species can be spotted on a regular basis and the local whale museum also scores high, ruv.is reports.

Other whale watching locations that made it to Harwood’s list include Lofoten in north Norway and Vancouver Island in Canada.
