Nordic study: Carbon dioxide emissions second highest in Reykjavík

Carbon dioxide emissions per inhabitant as a result of communications is second-highest in Reykjavík of seven Nordic cities studied, according to information presented at an environmental conference held in Copenhagen last weekend. The greatest amount of emissions was in Malmö, Sweden, then Reykjavík, Gothenburg, Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki and Cophenhagen. Conversely, Reykjavík is in last place when it comes to the release of carbon dioxide emissions from all measured sources, according to the study. Morgunbladid and VÍSIR online report.
