Award winning singer Norah Jones will perform in concert in Laugardalshöll music hall with her band, The Handsome Band, in Reykjavík on September 2. Jones has never appeared in concert in Iceland before.
Jones is currently promoting her latest album Not Too Late, released in January. It was produced by Lee Alexander, a songwriter and bassist who also participated in Jones’ previous two albums Come Away With Me and Feels Like Home.
Jones’ debut album Come Away With Me received world-wide attention when it was released in 2003. Jones received five Grammy Awards for the album and has since received three other Grammys.
The singer’s albums are released by the music label Blue Note, which specializes in jazz and has earlier published work by Miles Davis and John Coltrane. Despite her young age, 28, Jones has sold more records than any other Blue Note artists.
Tickets for Norah Jones’ Iceland concert are not available yet.
