The Nobel laureates and Columbia professors Robert Mundell and Joseph Stiglitz will speak at an economics conference in Iceland Thursday and Friday this week.
The conference is being organized by the Business and Economics Department at the University of Iceland and the Center on Capitalism and Society at Columbia University. It is titled “Aging Baby Boomers, Pensions and Medical Benefits, and Consequences for Dynamism, Prosperity and Growth”.
Other speakers include economists from Denmark, Iceland, Italy, Norway, Singapore and the United States. The conference will be held in room 101 in Oddi on the campus of the University of Iceland.
