No Weather for Camping

Search and rescue services have been busy responding to calls during the ongoing storm. A tourist called the 112 national emergency number at around 4 pm asking for assistance on Snæfellsjökull.

The man, who had been camping, was scared due to the violent storm in the area. Winds of up to 50 meters per second were forecast for Snæfellsnes. The local search and rescue services are on their way to the man, as stated in a press release from ICE-SAR.

Earlier today, search and rescue services were called out when a bus with 35 passengers got stuck near Lake Kleifarvatn. The weather in the area is particularly bad.
