None of the three proposals entered in an architectural competition on the design of the planned opera house in the Reykjavík suburb of Kópavogur were considered good enough to fulfill the requirements decided by the jury.
The jury said, however, that two of the proposals offered interesting solutions which, with further development, could meet the requirements needed. Thus the competition will continue for another two months, Fréttabladid reports.
The two architect agencies that will continue in the competition on the design of the new opera house are ALARK and Arkthingi. The jury is headed by Kópavogur Mayor Gunnar Birgisson.
