No Polar Bears

Icebergs have been spotted ten to 20 meters off of Húnaflóí Bay, reports Morgunbladid’s website. In response, Icelandic coastguard has flown over the icebergs and declared them free of polar bears.

Occasionally, icebergs drifting down from Greenland carry polar bears which can become a danger if they make it to Iceland, because the bears arrive hungry after their journey.
