No Known Injuries among Icelanders in Brussels

The Icelandic Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that people in Brussels use social media or send an SMS to notify friends and relatives of their situation, following this morning’s three explosions in the city. Numerous Icelanders live and work in Brussels, and there are no reports of injuries or casualties among them, RÚV reports.

Belgian authorities advise people against using their cell phones, due to a saturation of the cell phone network. They recommend using a landline to call emergency numbers.

Facebook has set up a special page where people in Brussels can report their status.

According to the BBC, the death toll has risen to 31 in Brussels, and dozens are injured.
