No Flights to New York and Boston from Iceland

Hurricane Sandy is not only making trouble in North America. Icelandair has canceled all four flights between JFK airport in New York and Iceland today as well as both flights between Boston and Iceland. The affected flights are FI 615, FI 617, FI 614, FI 616, FI631 and FI630.

These are the only flight cancelations between Iceland and North America so far, but Icelandair sent an announcement earlier today saying:

“Due to hurricane Sandy in USA, we are expecting some Icelandair flights to be disrupted. Please check flight status for the latest information on your flight before you travel to the airport.”
