The news site reports that six of the artists to receive grants have connections with—but no longer live in—the West Fjords town, including the writers Eiríkur Örn Norðdahl, Huldar Breiðfjörð, and Vilborg Davíðsdóttir, who have at one time or another worked as journalists for the newspaper.
