Students of the municipality’s kindergartens and elementary schools released 2,000 helium balloons to celebrate the start of the festival.

At 6 pm today the exhibition “Allt eða ekkert” (All or Nothing), featuring the work of 55 artists, opens at the Reykjanesbæer gallery.

Tomorrow’s schedule of events will end with a fireworks display at 10:15 pm. Following the fireworks, band Retro Stefson will perform in concert.

The festival runs until Sunday.

The full schedule of events is available on the festival website.
