New Webcam Set Up by Bárðarbunga Volcano

Telecom company Míla set up a new webcam by Bárðarbunga volcano on Saturday. The area can now be watched online on two webcams. The new webcam rotates and shows Bárðarbunga, Kverkfjöll and Kistufell.

The previous webcam was established by Míla last week, mbl.is reports. If Bárðarbunga were to erupt, the world will be able to watch the spectacle live on their computers.

Míla put up its first webcam during the 2010 volcanic eruption in Eyjafjallajökull, which proved extremely popular.

Since then, Míla has established several webcams across Iceland, at the biggest tourist attractions, including Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon, and with a view of volcanoes such as Hekla and Katla.
