The producers of the new Star Trek movie are considering shooting scenes for the film in Iceland this summer. Icelandic production company Saga Film would organize the shooting, as stated in Flóki, a Fréttablaðið supplement.

The new film will be the 12th in the Star Trek series. The last film was released in 2009 and enjoyed immense popularity around the world.
Details regarding the new film’s production are being kept under wraps. Not even the title has been revealed and the storyline is unclear.
