The Kradak Theater Group premieres a new play called “Let’s Talk Local – Reykjavík” on July 15th in Restaurant Reykjavík, and will thereafter perform it daily at 6 pm. The play is performed in English and features the capital’s history from the settlement until the present.
A press release from the Kradak Group describes the play as “fun and vibrant” where “you learn all you need to know about the birth of Reykjavík from the time of the Vikings until present day.” The play is an hour-long comedy show.
“Let’s Talk Local – Reykjavík” is the follow-up to the first play in the series, “Let’s Talk Christmas,” which premiered last Christmas. It featured the ogress Grýla, mother of the 13 Yule Lads, who told the audience all about Icelandic holiday traditions.
Restaurant Reykjavík is located on Vesturgata 2, 101 Reykjavík. Tickets cost ISK 2,200 (USD 17, EUR 12.2) for adults and ISK 1,100 (USD 8.5, EUR 6.1) for children aged 12 and younger.
Guests receive a ten percent discount from dinner at the restaurant and a complimentary drink after dinner.
