The photography exhibition “Thórir SF 77” by Brynja Dögg Fridriksdóttir opened in the gallery Verdandi in the bookstore Skuld on Laugavegur 51 in Reykjavík on Friday.
The exhibition features photographs of the crew of Thórir SF 77, a fishing boat operated from Höfn in southeast Iceland.
Fridriksdóttir is a hobby photographer who has been involved with photography since she was a child, a press release states.
The artist has worked in the Icelandic media sector for the past four years, for example on the investigative journalism program Kompás on Stöd 2 and on the Stöd 2 news.
Fridriksdóttir has also worked as a journalist for red-top DV and written articles for a number of Icelandic newspapers and magazines.
The exhibition runs through October 16.
