A new photo gallery, Fótógrafí, opened on Skólavördustígur in downtown Reykjavík last week. The gallery will exhibit the works of a new photographer every month and offer a selection of photographs for sale.
The photographs on sale were taken by 20 of the most talented photographers in Iceland. Visitors can also buy Icelandic photography books and design objects.
The first exhibition on display is “Kuldi” (“Cold”) by Ragnar Axelsson, aka Rax.
In the next two months, the works of Árni Saeberg and Iceland Review Photographer and Deputy Editor Páll Stefánsson will be exhibited.
Photographers who have their work for sale in the gallery include Sigurgeir Sigurjónsson, Börkur Sigthórsson and Kristín Bogadóttir.
The gallery is open from 12 to 6 pm on weekdays and from 10 am to 4 pm during weekends.
