Gunnar Ingimundarson has been hired as the new managing director for HugurAx, one of the largest software companies in Iceland. Prior to his promotion, Ingimundarson served as the director of the own solution department at HugurAx.
“The company is being operated very efficiently. It has a powerful team of employees and a large group of customers,” Ingimundarson said, according to a press release from HugurAx.
Ingimundarson was one of the founders the software company Hugur hf., which merged with Ax in June 2006. He replaces Páll Freysteinsson, who had served as the managing director of HugurAx since the merger.
“Last year’s merger with Ax software house was very successful. Interesting projects lie ahead,” Ingimundarson added.
HugurAx is a partner and service provider in the field of business and financial solutions, management information systems and specialized software solutions.
The company has 135 employees and services more than 4,000 customers, primarily in the local market, but also in parts of Europe, in California, USA and Australia.
