This year, to make the magazine Iceland Review even better for our loyal subscribers, as well as those who advertise, we are extending its distribution, incorporating Atlantica magazine into Iceland Review.
History often repeats itself. Iceland Review and Atlantica, which until 2009 was Icelandair’s in-flight magazine, shared names for 18 years, from 1968 to 1983, when Atlantica became an independent magazine, exclusive to the airline.
And now, beginning on New Year’s Day 2012, Iceland Review and Atlantica, as one magazine, will be complementary for passengers with all 18 airlines arriving at KEF, Keflavík International Airport. During the summer, passengers arriving at the ferry port in Seyðisfjörður, East Iceland, will also get a copy.
These changes will help us make a better, stronger Iceland Review.
The magazine’s design, by Erlingur Páll Ingvarsson, has been revamped and new elements have been added as we look ahead but also to what we have learned during the magazine’s 49 years of continuing publishing, the largest and longest serving English-language magazine in Iceland.
The 50th year will be exiting. Join us on that journey.
