The January-March issue of Iceland Review magazine is out. The spectacular ongoing eruption at Holuhraun is again on the magazine’s cover with the issue including a feature about our trip to the site in mid-October by Zoë Robert, accompanied by images by Iceland Review editor and photographer Páll Stefánsson.
Also in this issue, Eygló Svala Arnarsdóttir takes an in-depth look at the future of Icelandic agriculture, meets two of the 314 Germans who moved to Iceland to work on farms in the wake of World War II and attends TeamGym 2014. On the topic of sport, Páll Stefánsson meets two Icelandic handball legends in action in Kiel, Germany.
We also speak with Retro Stefson’s Unnsteinn Manuel Stefánsson about his new solo project and Mica Allan writes about the first winner of the Icelandic Design Award. In ‘Good Cop, Bad Cop’ we discuss the image of the police and some of the challenges faced by Icelandic law enforcement while in ‘Of Poultry, Potatoes and Pancetta’ Zoë Robert and photographer Áslaug Snorradóttir visit the South Iceland village of Þykkvibær.
The issue also features Páll Stefánsson’s images of Snæfellsnes peninsula and the epic late-November storm in Southwest Iceland.
In our special supplements, we cover activities and adventures in North Iceland as well as Iceland as the ideal location for corporate events.
