The guide is intended to ease the access of tourists to cultural recreation around the country and obtain information on locations, opening hours and what each place has to offer.
The museums are organized according to regions and each chapter contains a map. Readers may be surprised at the versatility of the Icelandic cultural landscape, a press release states.
The guide, published in 40,000 copies, is available in Icelandic and English and is distributed to museums, information centers, hotels, N1 gas stations and by the car rentals Avis and Budget.
