“I’m familiar with the director and it doesn’t surprise me that Indian [filmmakers] are coming here, they are namely a little bit eccentric and sometimes head into the unknown,” managing director of Eskimo models Ásta Kristjánsdóttir told Fréttabladid.

The newspaper first learned of the news through the Indian media, such as The Hindu Times, but was unable to find any local film production companies to confirm the rumor, although they did say that they have received many requests from Indian filmmakers.

However, according to the newspaper’s sources, the Indian Ambassador in Iceland is very keen on having Indian directors shoot their movies in Iceland.
