The crime novel Sólstjakar (“Sun Spikes”) by Viktor Arnar Ingólfsson was released in Iceland this month. This is his seventh book and fourth thriller.
The television series I Hunt Men was based on Ingólfsson’s Daybreak (Afturelding).
Sólstjakar partly takes place in Germany where a murder is committed in the Icelandic Embassy in Berlin. A dubious business mogul is found gutted in the ambassador’s office.
Vietnamese-Icelandic inspector Birkir Li Hinriksson, who readers know from Ingólfsson’s previous crime novels, is sent to the scene with his partners to investigate the murder.
The book will be released by the German publisher Lübbe next spring.
