New Icelandic Film Premiered

A new film by Gudný Halldórsdóttir, Vedramót, which tells the story of three hippies who operate a treatment home for troubled teenagers, premiered yesterday. It has received promising reviews from the local media.

Vedramót features established actors Atli Rafn Sigurdsson, Jar City (2006), and Hilmir Snaer Gudnason, 101 Reykjavík (2000), Fréttabladid reports.

A number of young actors taking their first steps in the film industry also star in the film, including Tinna Hrafnsdóttir, Gunnur Schlüter and Hera Hilmarsdóttir.
