New Exhibition at ASÍ Art Museum

An exhibition by Anna Líndal opened at the ASÍ Art Museum in Reykjavík yesterday. Her works are built in several layers and therefore call for different approaches. The outcome is a pattern of the artist’s life and surroundings, a press release states.

Anna studied at the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts, Akademie voor Beeldende Kunst in Enschede, the Netherlands, Hochule der Kunste, Berlin, Germany and at the Slade School of Fine Art in London, UK, from which she graduated in 1990 with a higher diploma in fine art.

Her work has been exhibited in solo exhibitions in Iceland, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Denmark and she has taken part in group exhibitions in Europe, Canada and Iceland. Her work is to be found in galleries and museums in Iceland and abroad.

From 2000 to 2009, Anna was a professor at the department of fine art at the Icelandic Academy of the Arts.

The ASÍ Art Museum is open daily, except Mondays, from 1 pm to 5 pm and admission is free. The exhibition will run through February 5.
