New Editor for Iceland Review and Atlantica

Heimur Publishing hf. has hired Bjarni Brynjólfsson as the editor for Iceland Review and Icelandair in-flight magazine Atlantica. Brynjólfsson is taking over for Sveinn H. Gudmarsson.

Brynjólfsson, 43, graduated with a BA Honors Degree in Media and Communications from the Polytechnic of Central London in 1988.

He has worked as a journalist and editor for over 20 years, mostly with magazines. Brynjólfsson is the former editor of Mannlíf, the most widely circulated monthly in Iceland, and co-founded and edited the weekly magazine Séd og Heyrt for ten years.

“The new job is very exciting,” says Brynjólfsson. “Both Iceland Review and Atlantica are widely read and well-respected magazines. They have imaginative writers on board and I look forward to working with them to make the magazines more sound in both content and photographic excellence.”

Brynjólfsson has also hosted radio and television documentaries and written numerous articles and interviews for many periodicals and newspapers in Iceland.

Brynjólfsson is also the editor of the fishing magazine Veidimadurinn, which is published by Heimur in cooperation with the Reykjavík Angling Club.
