New Design Space Opens in Reykjavík

SPARK, a new design space, opened in Reykjavík, on Klapparstígur 33 in the city center, earlier this month. It is intended as a platform for various design projects with special focus on projects that involve collaboration between designers and other professions.

Food design will play an important role, as stated on icelanddesign.is. SPARK will introduce projects and events that will play with the senses of touch, sight, smell and taste.

The opening show, which opened on July 8, is entitled “Eau de Parfum” and is by visual artist Andrea Maack. Maack.

She introduces three perfumes in the exhibition space, which are the results of her collaboration with the French perfumery apf aromes & parfums.

The exhibition runs through August 31. The SPARK design space is open Mondays to Saturdays from 10 am to 6 pm. Visit its website for further information.
