National University Hospital hires foreign nurses to meet need

The National University Hospital intends to hire up to 20 foreign nurses to meet a serious shortage of staff, according to a report today in Fréttabladid. The hospital has advertised for nurses in the other Nordic countries and the hiring process is already underway. Anna Stefánsdóttir, head of nursing at the hospital, says that the need is greatest in the nursing care and mental health units.
