Reykjavík is hosting a new musical event, a four-day music series between September 23 and 26. The series is entitled “Réttir – Reykjavík Round-Up” in reference to sheep roundups that take place all around the country at this time of year.
The series is hosted by various elements of Reykjavík’s music scene, including the participants of the You Are In Control (YAIC) conference, social music marketplace Gogoyoko, local newspaper The Reykjavík Grapevine and Reykjavík International Film Festival, along with local record labels and artists.
As stated on icelandicmusic.is, “The event will feature an exceptional spread of Icelandic musical talent. In fact it’s so good, even the infamous Apparat Organ Quartet have reformed for it.”
