Music Teachers Sign New Wage Agreement

The negotiation committee of music teachers and the municipalities signed a new wage agreement at 5:30 this morning after a long round of negotiations.

Head of the Music Teachers’ Union, Sigrún Grendal, said that strikes by music teachers had been difficult but that she was happy with the new agreement. The agreement will be voted on by music teachers before December 8, ruv.is reports.

Sigrún has declined to reveal the contents of the agreement.

Music teaching began again today after a five-week strike.
