Music Films Screened Alongside Iceland Airwaves

rokk-i-reykjavik_posterThe Iceland Airwaves music festival kicks off in Reykjavík next week. Ever day of the festival, October 12-16, various music films will be screened at Bíó Paradís on Hverfisgata at 4 pm with musical happenings taking place at 2 pm.

The films include Backyard by Árni Sveinsson about the contemporary Reykjavík music scene, the legendary documentary Rokk í Reykjavík by Fridrik Thór Fridriksson about the punk years and Screaming Masterpiece by Ágúst Jakobsson about the Icelandic musical adventure in the past decade.

Also, The Weird Girls Project – Episode 13 where Kitty von Sometime and her team perform in Thórsmörk and by the waterfall Seljalandsfoss to the music of Imogen Heap, will be screened, as well as Everything, Everywhere, All the Time by Pierre-Alain Giraud about Bedroom Community and their European tour last year.
