Mugiboogie Chosen Album of the Year in Iceland

By Iceland Review

According to a committee, comprised by 17 musical experts working for daily newspaper Fréttabladid, Mugiboogie by Örn Elías Gudmundsson, a.k.a. Mugison, is by far the best album in Iceland this year.

The first studio albums released by young bands Sprengjuhöllin and Hjaltalín placed second and third, respectively, and both albums published by established singer/songwriter Megas this year were in the top ten, Fréttabladid reports.

Mugison was satisfied with the results. “I don’t know if this is a case of pure luck or if people feel sorry for me and are therefore doing me favors.”
