MTV Leases Rights to Songs by Iceland’s Dikta

Representatives of MTV music television channel in the US and Icelandic rock band Dikta have signed an agreement for MTV to lease the rights to a few of Dikta’s songs that will be used for television programs produced by MTV, scheduled to premiere next winter.

For the past weeks, Dikta members have been busy in the studio recording samples for their next album, which is expected to hit the market later this year. Dikta recently released a new song entitled “Let Go” to Icelandic radio stations and it can also be heard on the band’s MySpace site.

In other music-related news, the energetic trio Gus Gus has confirmed the release date of their next album “24/7” on July 6, which they will follow up by touring music festivals in Europe next summer.

Gus Gus has already been booked to play at Total 10 in Cologne and the Sonar festival in Barcelona.
