Most want Social Democrat and Left Green government

Over 28 percent of participants in a new poll undertaken by Capacent Gallup for Morgunbladid and RÚV would like to see the Social Democrats and Left Greens form the next coalition government.

Twenty-four percent would like to see the current coalition government, comprised of the Independence Party and the Progressive Party, continue after the general elections in May. Morgunbladid reports.

Twenty-two percent of participants would like the Independence Party and the Left Greens to form a coalition government after the elections.

The poll was undertaken by Capacent Gallup between March 8 and 13. Over 1,200 people aged 18 to 75 were asked which parties they would like to form the next coalition government. Just over 60 percent of the 1,200 were reached.

Sixty-six percent thereof answered the question. Roughly seven percent refused to answer and almost 27 percent were undecided.
