Most Icelanders against Lowering Drinking Age

The majority of Icelanders, 56 percent, are against lowering the drinking age from 20 to 18, according to a new survey by daily Fréttablaðið and Stöd 2 television station.

Around 28 percent are very or rather for the lowering of the legal drinking age, and 15 percent are neither for nor against it, reports.

The Independence Party agreed at the recent national convention that the age should not be lowered.
