By Iceland Review

Icelandic Minister of Industry Katrín Júlíusdóttir and Magnús Orri Schram, chairman of the Association on Health Tourism, signed an agreement this week on the ministry’s support for the marketing initiative “Heilsulandid Ísland” (“Iceland, the Health Country”).

The main purpose of the collaboration is to develop and design joint marketing material for promoting health tourism in Iceland and the launch of the campaign in June 2010, reports.

Approximately 90 people attended the inaugural meeting of the Health Tourism Association in Reykjavík on January 28.

Following the meeting, work began on developing the trademark for Heilsulandid Ísland, what it represents, who can use it and in what context.
