Actor Edward James Olmos is to join Denzel Washington, Mark Wahlberg, and Paula Patton in Baltasar Kormákur’s new film 2 Guns, currently slated for a 2013 release, ruv.is reports.

Olmos starred in the 1980s television crime series Miami Vice as Lieutenant Martin Castillo, for which he won an Emmy and a Golden Globe award.
In other film news, Icelandic director Ólafur Jóhannesson is currently in negotiation with a well-known producer in Hollywood, ruv.is reports.
Ólafur, who uses the same agency as Baltasar, says he is optimistic about the film and has held talks with several actors including Jennifer Garner.
Ólafur has also signed a contract with production company New Regency for the remake of his thriller Borgríki (City State), to be directed by James Mangold.
