The police received a report on Monday that a man had tried to lure an eight-year-old boy into his car in Seltjarnarnes, a neighboring town of Reykjavík. The police was unable to release any other information about the incident on Tuesday.

Another similar incident was reported on Tuesday; a man in a large black car followed a young girl on her way home from school in the Víkurhverfi district in Reykjavík, Morgunblaðið reports.
There were several reports of a similar nature in the capital region last autumn; in many cases two men were reported to have tried, unsuccessfully, to lure children into their cars. The perpetrators have not been caught.
