Two men in a black car tried to lure two boys from the elementary school Engjaskóli in Reykjavík’s Grafarvogur district into their car on Wednesday. The boys refused and school authorities notified parents of the incident, asking them to be on the alert.

This is the fourth time in two weeks that such an incident of two men offering children sweets or toys if they get into the car has been reported to the police. The descriptions of the men and vehicle are consistent, ruv.is reports.
Superintendent Björgvin Björgvinsson told Fréttabladid that this matter is being taken very seriously. However, it is unusual because child abusers almost always act alone and single out one child. It is therefore being considered whether the men are just pretending, thinking this is a joke.
