Medieval Market in North Iceland this Weekend

The medieval market Gásir in Eyjafjörður, North Iceland, will be held for the tenth time this weekend, July 19-21.

Gásir was the main trading post in northern Iceland during the Middle Ages.

The market place will be open from 11 am to 6 pm during the three days. Meanwhile, handcrafters dressed in medieval fashion will demonstrate ironwork and other crafts and spear fighters will put on a show.
