Meat Thieves Strike in Kópavogur

Two men filled a large shopping cart with festive food, mostly meat, in the store Krónan in Kópavogur, a neighboring town of Reykjavík, yesterday evening and ran out of the store with it without paying for the products.

They loaded the loot into the backseat of their car and drove away, visir.is reports.

Shortly afterwards the police caught the thieves along with the entire loot, at which point they had stuffed some of the products into a backpack.

The men were released after questioning and the products were returned to the store.
