ÍMARK, the Icelandic marketing association, named orthopedics/prosthetics producer Össur as the Marketing Company of the Year and director of Reykjavík City Theater, Magnús Geir Thórdarson, as the Marketing Person of the Year this week.
Thórdarson and Össur representatives were presented with the 2008 ÍMARK Marketing Award by President of Iceland Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson at a special ceremony in the Tower in Smáratorg, Kópavogur, on November 5.
Össur posted a net profit of USK 137 million (EUR 10.7) million for Q3 this year. Thórdarson is featured in the latest issue of Iceland Review. Tobias Munthe speaks with him about the emerging theater scene in Iceland and his pioneering efforts with Reykjavík City Theater.
This year was the 18th time that the ÍMARK Marketing Award was granted.
