Between 40 and 50 people went to the offices of Reykjavík Legal this morning to check whether their personal information was compromised following the hacking of the website of Vodafone Iceland over the weekend.

One of the customers, Valgeir Matthías Pálsson, told ruv.is that he found the situation “deplorable.” Valgeir said he had contacted the Data Protection Agency about the matter.

As reported earlier, 30,000 user passwords and 80,000 text messages—ranging from highly personal messages between individuals to sensitive information between MPs and senior policy makers—were hacked as well as other confidential customer data such as addresses.
