The house was severely damaged in the fire and the furnishings are completely ruined. The fire is being investigated and the origin is unknown. However, it is believed that the fire started in the living room, Morgunbladid reports.

In other news, the two fishermen who were treated at Landspítali after fainting from lack of oxygen on board a vessel in Fáskrúdsfjördur one week ago have been discharged from hospital and are recovering. Decomposing fish had drained oxygen from the hold where the catch was kept.
