Man Arrested for Knife Stabbing in Reykjavík

Police arrested a young man last night suspected of having stabbed another man with a knife in the 10-11 grocery store on Lágmúli in Reykjavík yesterday morning. The victim was taken to hospital with injuries to his face and chest, but was released later in the day.

The grocery store was closed for two hours after the attack, mbl.is reports.

Shortly before the attack the man who was arrested had paid with a credit card in the store. The attack was also filmed by the store’s CCTV cameras. Police are now searching for another man suspected of having participated in the attack.
