Majority of Kárahnjúkar workers satisfied

The majority of workers employed on the Kárahnjúkavirkjun dam project are satisfied with important aspects such as safety, communications in the workplace, and relations with their superiors. This is the result of a survey conducted by Tryggvi Hallgrímsson, a student at the University of Tromsö in Norway. VÍSIR online reports.

According to the results, over 80 percent of respondents had previously worked in the power harnessing and heavy industry sectors, and a similar ratio was interested in working on similar projects in the future. Wages are the main reason for the foreign workers’ decision to come to Iceland to work.
