Sixty-one percent of respondents in a new survey conducted by Fréttabladid and Stöd 2 said they intend to vote in favor of the new Icesave legislation in the upcoming national referendum while 39 percent of respondents intend to vote against it.
However, a large part of respondents, 30 percent, are undecided, whereas 3.5 percent are not going to vote, visir.is reports.
The supporters of the largest parties in parliament, the Independence Party, Social Democrats and the Left-Greens, are in favor of passing the legislation, while the majority of Progressive Party voters want to reject it.
Eight hundred voters were called at random February 23-24 and 63.4 percent of those contacted answered the question on whether they were planning to vote for or against the new Icesave legislation.
In an MMR survey conducted February 20-21, 58 percent of respondents said they would vote in favor of the legislation and 42 percent were planning to reject it.
