Majority of Iceland’s exports go to UK

The United Kingdom is Iceland’s main trading partner in exports and Germany in imports, new figures released by Statistic Iceland reveal. Seafood products accounted for 57 percent and industrial products 34 percent of exports last year, while the largest product groups in terms of imports were consumables and commodities, investment products and transport vehicles.

The EU remained Iceland’s most important market, the Morgunbladid online edition reports.
