Iceland’s own Magni Ásgeirsson is still in the running after last night’s elimination round on American reality TV show Rock Star Supernova. Magni passes through to the finals next week along with three other contestants, one of who will be selected to lead the rock band Supernova. This is reported in all the main media today.
All five contestants on last night’s show had been in the bottom three when it came to votes at some point during the previous night’s voting. When the votes were counted, however, Magni was one of two contestants who was ‘safe’ and who did not have to perform a second time in hopes of staying in the running.
A major campaign has been ongoing in Iceland over the past two weeks to urge Icelanders to stay up and vote for Magni, with evident success.
