Lower Walkway Reopened at Gullfoss

The Environment Agency of Iceland has reopened the lower walkway at Gullfoss waterfall, RÚV reports. The walkway had been very icy after a long and snowy winter, but most of this has now melted, making it safe for visitors once again.

In preparation for visitors, Environment Agency staff also cleared away rocks and gravel that had fallen onto the pathway, fixed fencing, and generally cleared up the area.
